Theme Ideas Here

While we still are figuring out the basics, we will be collecting ideas for themes to do... eventually. Post them here! If you are referencing something specific, feel free to add reference photos!

I think that you should have themes run for an entire month. That gives low level players more time to complete the basic part of the theme, and high level players more stuff to do and time to do it. I do think that new "stuff" needs to come out each week of the theme. First week for the basic players, 2nd week more advanced, 3rd, even more advanced, 4th only the highest will complete.

That will prevent you from running out of themes in 3 years, and satisfy those who can't complete the theme in 1 week, and also have intense stuff for those who love to compete and collect.

I think it would be cool to celebrate each state in the month that it became a state.

Mardi Gras ... we have to have an annual Marti Gras ...

Burning Man ... major event every year ... would love to see it acknowledged as Nevada's Mardi Gras equivalent.

Opening of Ski Season .... Opening of Beach Season ...
Black Friday, which I never heard of till I moved to the East Coast for a few years.

Peanut Butter which is a poison for some people, it would be cool to use the day peanut butter was brought to the States as a theme to educate people that it's a basic food and a poison.

Tomatoes ... tomatoes are also a poison for some people, in fact, one UK King had an attempted assassination using tomatoes... Another opportunity to educate and celebrate.
As a person who is allergic to tomatoes, it would be interesting to discover when tomatoes stopped being considered a poison and started being considered a basic food.

Potatoes ... history of all the various types of potatoes, where they came from and what they are called, and when they became popular.

Standard holidays would cover several months.

So very excited to be a part of this and to see people coming together to create something and not allowing themselves to be helpless victims of corporate decisions.

Thai Theme.You should have this theme on April only Because it Thai'New Year.

You should make:

-gorge and waterfall theme
-sweet treat theme (chocolate, ice cream, cake, cookies)

You should make a variety of Asian themes! Like... Vietnamese, Japanese , Korean , Chinese , and Thai!

You can add stuff like:
+Asian themed clothing
+Dragon statues and decorations.
+Asian themed fences
+Asian themed Tables and Chairs
+New recipes like Pho, Ramen, Noodles, Fried Rice.etc
+Some sort of Mini lake with a waterfall combined (Like the one they had on Restaurant City when they had the Japanese theme)
+Bamboo plants
+Possibly pandas roaming around the place.
And much more!

I think it would be great if the game had holiday themes like Restaurant City did, like Christmas and St. Patrick's Day for maybe a week. For international holidays like Christmas, the theme could run a month, and feature recipes from all over the world, although the only really international holidays I can think of right now are Christmas and Valentine's Day.

Also seasonal themes, like strawberry rhubarb pie for summer, apple related dishes in the fall, etc. Again, having dishes from different countries, and different parts of the U.S.

I really support the theme for a month idea. One of the things that really bugged me about RC was they would only make certain items and then leave it up to you to try and mix and match something together.

The starting items (non-themed) should come out with an array of colors for each sector of the restaurant (tables, chairs, dividers, wall hangings/curtains, kitchen appliances, restroom fixtures, beds, etc.). For example, there would be one type/color of sink, but no toilet to match it. In real life, you wouldn't expect to go into a seafood restaurant and then have a Victorian bathroom.

If there is a nice, even, basic set of decorating colors to choose from, it won't be so hard to mix and match in later but if the foundation isn't complete it gets frustrating. If you can set a color palette so when new themes are introduced they fall somewhere in the color palette that would be fantastic! There's nothing worse than having 20 shades of dark purple that don't match.
